Nutrition and Physical Activity
The Australian Guide to Healthy Eating (AGHE) (Australian Government, 2015) (Figure 3) is an excellent resource to use when considering healthy food choices and quantities of food to be consumed. If excess foods outside of the guide are consumed individuals are at increased risk of becoming overweight or obese.
The Physical Activity Pyramid (figure 4) is a fantastic tool which defines how much physical activity should be undertaken weekly and at what intensity level. This goes hand-in-hand with the FITT principles which are F:frequency that physical activity is undertaken.
